Mauritius exits the High-Risk Third Countries EU List
Following the exit of Mauritius from the Grey List of the Financial Action Task Force (‘FATF’) and the UK’s List of High Risk Third Countries, we are pleased to inform you that the European Commission announced that Mauritius has now been removed from the High-Risk Third Countries EU List.
The Commission concluded that Mauritius has successfully tackled the deficiencies and concerns identified by the FATF. This development solidifies the position of Mauritius as an International Financial Centre of substance with a strong and robust AML/CFT regime.
